3 years ago we took a trip to a path much less traveled. We went to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. It's a further drive than the South Rim, but I always wanted to go cause I heard it was less crowded and the views were phenomenal. And it did not disappoint. I said one day I want to make a reservation at the cabins next to the lodge. We'll now after the fire I will have to wait till it gets rebuilt. But for now I can enjoy these pictures and the memories of that beautiful place. The North Rim had way less people. It was not crowded at all. There was a nice scenic driving path that was a little scary at times. The North Rim had more exposure to the canyons, like if I want to jump and fall I could. Versus South Rim they try to protect you as much as possible, which is a very good thing. North Rim you could be at a scenic pull out and not see anyone at all. It's so quiet and peaceful there. And we went in fall and the leaves were changing (not as beautiful as the North East, but still beautiful). The North Rim is my favorite Rim. Hopefully they will rebuild this lodge soon. Ironically when I went there we saw burned down trees from a previous fire near the North Rim.
