Today Amarissa had her 7 year check up. She did so good. With her having level 3 autism and down syndrome it has been so hard having to go to doctor visits especially when we have to wait. She is so busy she would get into everything. This visit was the first time she sat patiently in the waiting room. She did have a sticker with her name on it that they gave her to put on. She kept on taking it off and putting it on her head, knees arms everywhere, but it kept her very occupied. Her therapies have been helping her improve so much. She didn't run away, and when she got bored I let her watch a video on my phone. She has been asking for months to go to the doctor. She watches her cartoons and the characters go to the doctor, so she knew just what to expect. She even took the flu shot like a champ. She watched the whole thing and didn't budge. Way to go Amarissa.
