Chiricahua National Park

For fall break we wanted to explore Chiricahua National Park since it was kinda on our way to our destination which was New Mexico.

Chiricahua is on the South Eastern part of Arizona near the New Mexico border. It has such beautiful towering rock formations that I wanted to see.

Once we got of I-10 it was so quiet and peaceful and just such a beautiful journey out there. It was also so green. You think of Arizona as a big desert but there are lots of places that have so much other colors than the desert tan. That's why I love that we moved to this state. There is so much to explore.

We went to the Visitors Center and then up to Masai Point. But we had to come down once I noticed Amarissa wasn't breathing well. She has a narrow section on her trachea (tracheal stenosis) and she had a cold that day. We walked on a little trail and that thin air wasn't great for her. She was wheezing. When we came back to the Visitors Center she was okay. That was scary. But it she was all good.
