Next Day on our way to Carlsbad Caverns

 On Day 2 of our trip we drove to Carlsbad Caverns. 

We woke up early in the morning to get breakfast at the hotel. Let's just say it was a little underwhelming. But the kids ate what they liked.

It was interesting how we left New Mexico and drove through Texas (El Paso area) to get back into New Mexico. It allowed us to get one more State in. Originally I wanted to drive through the mountains of New Mexico, but I was scared of the high altitude and Amarissa's breathing issues so we went the later way.

We even got to drive by the beautiful Guadeloupe National Park. I would love to stop and explore that area one day.
